Blackout Blinds in Kent

The term "black-out blind", properly used means a blind that will effectively prevent any light appearing through a window at all. A photographers dark room would require total black-out for example. The blind will typically have a full cassette box to house the fabric, side guides with brushes for the fabric to travel along and the bottom bar of the blind will also have brushes fitted.

In practice and especially in terms of residential usage, the term "black-out" has also come to mean a blind which prevents light from passing through the fabric only.

In most cases these blinds are roller blinds but we are also able to Luxaflex Duette, pleated blinds in "black-out" fabrics and even Venetian blinds which effectively block all light from passing through the blind.

In all cases this type of blind is suitable for bedrooms, classrooms, function rooms etc where the requirement is to remove almost all of the light.

Where our own roller blind systems are concerned we typically offer two types of fabric, a PVC based fabric which is extremely hard wearing and capable of withstanding cleaning with almost any household cleaning agent or a more expensive linen based fabric with rubberised backing for customers who are not expecting to have to try to clean their blinds with household cleaning agents.
