Penumbra has a dedicated department which deals with educational establishments from universities to pre-school nurseries

Our aim is to be able to provide solar control solutions and all weather external coverings which meet our Clients individual requirements for function and cost.

We understand that with the advent of light boards and Offstead recommendations etc, educational establishments are being forced to look again at their provisions for solar control, general light control and outside play/work areas.

Whilst we would never claim to be completely altruistic, as a business we are dedicated to ensuring that no more funds be spent on this type of equipment than is necessary. If light control is required for light boards in classrooms then we will suggest a dark, non-blackout fabric which would do the same job as a blackout fabric but reduce costs for example.

We offer a number of external coverings ranging from sun awnings and shade sails to all weather retractable and permanent structures to suit your requirements and budget.

In many cases an external cover will require planning consent from the local council. We offer a complimentary plan drawing service to help the process along and further reduce unnecessary costs.
