    At Penumbra we have a bit of a problem! We are trying to run a sucessfull business but at the same time are very uncomfortable with charging schools and hospitals money for our products that could be spent on education or treating the sick.

    Our solutions is to develpe a product range for school which will cater for the needs of the school and be strong and durable at a bare minimum of cost.

    For instance, a major issue for schools in the last few years has been the introduction of interactive light boards. We carry a range of fabrics which whilst they are not classed, or priced, as "black-out" will, if the correct colours are chosen, do just as good a job.

    Another bug bear of ours is the use of vertical blinds in the classroom. All those lovely louver weights and chains hanging within inches of childrens fingers begging to be fiddled with. We will always recommend the best products for any given situation and have years of experience and hundreds of school installations to draw our expereince from.
